New Books Out and Lots to Tell Ya About

It a good time book release when at least one of the books is based in my favorite fictional town of Marietta,Montana. And yes today I have one for you from Lara Van Hulzen titled Finding Her Montana Cowboy. Then we go to Philly and a new writer for me but one who I will be quickly catching up on her books, Amy Manemann. Her book is titled Love Lorn. Back to Marietta for a stay at the Graff Hotel and we get to mix a bit of mystery and romance with Wedding at the Graff by Jeannie Watt.

Finding Her Montana Cowboy (Marietta St. Claire's #4)Finding Her Montana Cowboy by Lara Van Hulzen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am so excited to see McKenna have finally gotten her own book and we got to see her story. Know I never ever tell a storyline away in my review SO you will know know the meat of the book in my review. Sorry..not sorry. I want you to read and fall in love with Mckenna and Wyatt just like I did as soon as I turned the pages of this book. If you are not familiar with this town or the series, no problem...you will be able to read and enjoy this book right fine by itself. NOW, if you want to fall in love with a wonderful fictional town that will steal you heart and have you wanting to read all books based in this town...read a few books based in Marietta, Montana. McKenna is the only girl of a family of boys, yes so that tells you something right... NOPE throw that out the window. She is her own person and it shows all the way thru this book. Wyatt Emerson is the other character you get to know in Finding her Montana Cowboy. He was a rodeo cowboy until the rodeo life left him with a limp at the time life left him with a sprite at his door. When McKenna and the Duo of Wyatt and little Kaiti start spending time together, this book just flies for me and for McKenna as well. Life changes... WOW will it be enough for a gal whose feet need to move as much as she does? Lara Van Hulzen has once again given us a well written book that has me wanting to pack my bags and head to Montana to ride the horses and visit Marietta. Come visit for a while, You will be so happy you did.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I was very happy to say not only was I pleased with this book, but it made me want to start reading more of this style of books again. This book was well written and it had me hooked from the very start to the end and let's say beyond, is a series of books written between two authors. The nextbook will be written by Stacy Eaton, another really great author. Let me tell you a wee bit about this book. This is a suspense that is built around an serial killer in Philly. We get to follow two detectives Evie and Stephan Harris around as they try to catch this person or persons. Of course it is not just that simple and there is much more involved. Yes, there is some romance in this book, but the main focus is the police work. I am so looking forward to the next book in this series.

I was able to take a trip to Marietta, Montana and this time I stayed at the famous Graff Hotel. Oh yes, as you know by now I have a thing for this wonderful town and when i get a chance to visit it, I always do. In this book we have a bit of a mystery to solve and in doing so if love happens to show up...well all the better, right. This book is about Collie who works at the Graff and Michael who Collie knew back in the day. They used to be friends before she fell in and out of love with his friend/boss. Yes, a whole lot there that comes out in the book. Michael comes to the Graff to get the engagement ring back from Collie from her broken engagement. BUT life is never that simple is it. Collie's grandma says the ring belongs to her family...HUM? Michael just knows he wants Collie... you didn't think I would tell you the storyline did you? Oh no not me. This is a well written book, based in not just my favorite fictional town but also one of my favorite places to stay (In my head anyways). So come by and check out Wedding at the Graff

Perfect level of heat, mystery and yes romance. What a Lucky Leprechaun

I am so happy we got to William and Bronte's story... I mean first it's rare that an author can give me a book that is so well written that I can actually picture the characters, not only physical Wil!I am being a white Irish as in from Ireland lad and Bronte a Beaufort with dark skin. But also we get their personality which makes this novella come to life. You don't have to have read any books in the Finn Factor Series to do follow along on this journey that Author R.G.Alexander has been so gracious to invite us on. Visit with some of our favorite Finn and Wayne's and not-Wayne's while you are there and let me just say this... Thank you so much for or making St Paddy's week fun. What a great read. Perfect amount of heat, some mystery, and of course little bit of teasing for upcoming books. Can't wait.

Take a Chance on Me (Love on Chance Avenue, #3)Take a Chance on Me by Jane Porter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Quirky little salon in Marietta, Montana houses one of the most prize possessions that Betty's son could ever find Funny thing is when Ty came to town had no idea he was even looking for a treasure at all. My favorite fictional town is back this time author Jane Porter brings is a bit of a mystery mixed in with a wonderful romance. It is no secret if you read my reviews you know I love this fun town in Montana and this book did not disappoint me at all. It did answer some questions I had about one of my favorite characters in Marietta, Betty Justice. But this story is more about her son Tyler and Amanda or Mandy the lovely Salon owner. Funny thing is folks can understand when an older person and a younger person are friends. Someone always has to be "wanting something from the situation" right? Well, right but not right.... maybe. This book is well written and easy to read. It had me back in my adopted hometown as soon as I started reading and and there were so many fun things in this book that had me finding myself wanting to do in my own home... like add a splash of pink. (Read an see why.) Come for a visit and see if you can spot the blue door.

Been A Wild 6 Weeks .Catching up with Ducky

Hi all sorry it has been so long since I have written in here. Let me catch you up on me and mine and then I will give you a little review or two today. So a funny thing happened to Ducky (me) on the way for a walk back on Feb 2... I walked into a stairwell and knocked myself out. Yep, flat out on my ass. Sorry but that is exactly what I did straight down apparently in a sitting position, then flat back...bracing myself with my right arm. A wonderful neighbor lady found me about 5 minutes later I am told, out flat, passed out. She woke me up, found one of our other neighbors...a gentleman who walks dogs, who after warning me he was "Going to get freaky"  helped me up and half carried me inside my apartment. He called my husband who came home and we had to wait for Keelee to get there for Zoe (my granddaughter who was coming home on the bus) and my daughter sent us to the ER. Now folks, I was shaking and in so much pain. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis and this pain is so much more. They x-rayed and MRI me. They gave me morphine but it did not touch the pain. OH my word. They said I sprained my right arm and light concussion. I couldn't breathe but no one would figure out why not. It was not until Monday of the next week that my regular doctor had more testing done that she discovered that i had fractured my spine and right ribs at the same time that I fell. A short time later I developed pneumonia.Boy this has been fun...NOT. I have been reading if I have not been trying to sleep through the pain. My ribs and wrist are feeling better so now I am able to get on the computer and start to write more. YEA! I have missed you all.
I have read lots of different genres whole I have been healing here are two of the different new releases that I thought you might enjoy. You know me I am love to read all kinds and styles. All authors appeal to me. If they are good writers, I will read them.

Second Chance on St. Patrick's Day: A Billionaire RomanceSecond Chance on St. Patrick's Day: A Billionaire Romance by Mia Ford
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is one of those books that grabbed me because of the covers (yes I gladly admit covers do have a whole lot to do with what I read) and it hooked me because of the content inside the book. And let me sa there are more than one book inside this book. 2 of the books are brand new and that is a killer deal. The first book which goes with the cover, is one extremely fun and hot story that starts on New Years Eve with of course fake names and what they assume would be one night stands. BUT we all know what happens with assuming things right. well this book is well written from page one to the end in each of the books and stories. I loved having several new books from Mia Ford to read and a couple past books to re-read as well. It's always nice to visit old friends. Let me say with St Paddy's Day on the horizon a good hawt Irish read is always welcomed!

CJ Carmichael wrote one of my favorite Christmas books A Bramble House Christmas (Carrigans of Circle C Book 6) based in  my favorite adopted hometown of Marietta, Montana. The book was made into a Hallmark movie last year..my opinion the movie was good but did not do it proud. Cause the book IS my FAVORITE Christmas book. So when I was offered a chance to read a true mystery by  C. J, Carmichael why i did not want to shacks of a sheep's tail to say YES! YES! Downloaded it to my kindle and snuggled in to read. WoW was I happy I did. Now you need to read my review to see why and of course I did it backwards to I have to read book 1 now.
 Bitter Truth (Bitter Root #2)
Bitter Truth by C.J. Carmichael
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It's been many a year since I have read a true mystery and this is a true mystery written by an author that I have read her romance books. WOW she blew my mind away with this book. I did not know what to think when I started reading this and yes this is the second book in a series (you bet your bootie I have already picked up book 1 Bitter Roots...little bit backwards) but once I got into it I simply could not stop reading. I have no idea what Montana does to me but it seems to draw me in and grab me. This town is Lost Trails and it does have some people that have some backwoods thinking. Kind of like some i know from home in Tennessee. This is a well written story that had me in in from the start. I could see with my minds out the lay of the land, the ranch, the sheriff and dispatcher Zak.I am headed to read the first book in this series before the third book comes out. Because it will be time for a complete re-read of the first 2...of course. So if you like a good, well written mystery with a touch of heat this is the book for you.
