Week of Reads... My Reviews of All Kinds of Books this week... Enjoy and a Free Book At the End too

This week I spent a lot of time in bed reading since it was flu time in our home. So I was lucky enough to have a whole lot of books on my kindle to read...And of course that means you get to know what I think and feel about each one of those books. And you will notice I have read a variety of books. I find that that is the way to read, Just like I eat my fruits and veggies. A wonderful variety of different books from different authors. It is a great way to never ever get bored.

First let's Start with Saving the Sheriff by Kadie Scott. Let me say I am so excited to discover that Kadie is a new author to Tule Publishing Group BUT she is not a new author. She has other books on Amazon (oh do they look interesting). I am honored to get to advance read for Tule so yippee I will get to read her books from them first and tell you all about them.  I waited for this one until it hit Amazon since it was the first one I am not waiting for the ones in the future...you can always pre-order and have them waiting on your kindle, or devise as soon as it hit midnight from now on. Now that I know for a fact she is AmAzBaLLS.!

Saving the Sheriff (Hills of Texas, #1)Saving the Sheriff by Kadie Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book I read by author Kadie Scott but ohhhh it will not be the last. I am already ready for the waiting for more books for this author from this series and looking at other books to read that she is written. Let me begin by saying that his author has a style of writing that is really like. It is smooth and almost like I am right there beside her as she is telling this story. The characters are so life like and true to life. They are not sweet or "Oh I love you fall in love with me", kind of writing but an honest to goodness this is what would happen in real time story. She had me in tears at times and also laughing in others.
Let me share just a peek into this story for you. We have best friends in school. Holly and Georgia always seem to be together but as different as night and day. Oh Yes I guess I better tell ya this is a small town outside in Texas so it's one of those everyone thinks they know all kind of towns. Holly's grandma raised her and her siblings until she passed. The Sheriff or Cash was married to Georgia until she passed away. BUT things are not always what they seem and when people hold secrets inside it causes problems. BIG problems... And there is a little girl in the picture too.
This is one of those books that had me shaking me head and taking me my kindle. It was so well written at times I forgot the characters were not real and I couldn't text time or look them up on facebook to talk to them about the situation.... seeing as it was one that was similar to mine 29 years ago. YES, This book is that well written.
Grab your copy and sit a spell. You will be so happy that you did.

I wanted to let you know see some of the other books I read this week from some of my favorite authors.

Sex, Not LoveSex, Not Love by Vi Keeland

Another 5 Star read

WOW what a wonderful book. I love reasoning books by this author because not only are they fill of details that keep you turning the pages, they always have a really good storyline. This book was no exception. Not only did we get to know Hunter and Nat, but throw out the course of this book our author also teaches via the book, about different health issues. I always love learning new things without realizing in am learning...a great author is able to do that with a sexy read. This is one of those books.

Nicole Edwards is one of my One Click Authors...She writes it I always Pre-Order it. I stay up and start reading it the moment it hits my kindle.  Let me say if you like mature, HAWT (by that I mean Burning the sheets) reads... This is an author you need to read.

Their Rebellious Submissive (Office Intrigue Book 3)Their Rebellious Submissive by Nicole Edwards
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This series just keeps getting better and better. Can I rate it higher than 5 stars! Please

I didn't think that Nicole Edwards would be able to beat out Office Intrigue books 1&2 the Duet set for heat but man was I wrong. Mr Parker, Mr Snowden and Allison make up quite an interesting triad and as they find their path things fall by the way. Nicole Edwards just amazed me with her ability to write scenes as it she where standing in a club watching and taking detailed notes... (Maybe that's how she does it so well ) or by being a peeping Jill And Watching some Of These Fine Looking Triads Around. However She Does It We her book fans reap the Benefits.

No...my reading week is not over by a long shot...yes I  love to read and if i read it , I review it.

I was so happy, As in giggle Happy to know that Lexie Blake had a book out this week as Sophie Oak... Thank heavens I had an Amazon gift card or i would not be eating at all (or sitting). But that is another story. If you have not read any of her books an you are into kink or might be...these books are kink with suspense. And they are oh so good. This is a short book or novella and the perfect length to get me  niggling in my brain to go back and re-read some of her books. Oh when will I sleep you ask?

Thanks for more from the The Club!!!

This author has always been one of my favors to read. I know that I will not only get a good book but also a book that is also correct as far as the junk elements. It has a great storyline.... We got to catch up with old friends Jack, Sam and Abigail. And meet up with Julian and The Club. And any time that Big Tag gets to come out and play well that in it self can be fun for us readers. Lexie Blake knows how to gives us a book that have you captured from page one, panting in the middle and by the last page you need fresh undies.... 5 star read!

Wonderful Blissful Beginning to a New Series.

What a wonderful start to a new series by author Erin Nicholas. The sisters, triplets learn that they have to all sort of disappear to a small town in Kansas for a year to make ...pies. What a well written and at times extremely soul touching but yet funny book. I love how Erin Nicholas has the ability to reach into my past and touch a little bit... Adding it to her stories. It is like she know me personally, which she does not, and finds she needs to showcase my flaws and fix me. These sisters, like so many of us ( whether by blood or not) have issues as well as their strengths. Some were expected and others were happy surprises. I invite you to sit back, grab some crispy bacon, a jar of Nutella and just enjoy some Bliss.

His Best Mistake by Lucy King is NOT A Mistake at All but a Great Read

This is the first time for me to read a book by this author and it is the first book in this series as well. So score. I love finding new authors to stalk and this one is one I will be reading for days to come. In this book we have lots of misunderstanding and not because of the characters involved mostly (wink). One of the reasons I enjoyed this book was it had lots of hidden snarky humor amongst the writing and it made for a really good read.
We have boy seeks out girl who is hiding away. Girl is hiding not because she did something but she does feel like she did. Sparks fly ...OH do they fly. Boy's sibling is MAD as a WET HEN! Life gets in the way.... Yes you need to figure out this crazy reviewer. But alias I never give away a storyline but I will tell you this book is GOOD. It had me turning my kindle from the start. I had me already looking for the date for the next book in this series and ordering it. Hummmm I am also looking for MORE MORE MORE from this author. So my opinion is to get your a copy of this book, glass of wine and sit a spell. You will NOT be disappointed.
You can find it on Barnes & Nobles ,Google, and iTunes or iBooks.

Here is a wee more about this Tule Publishing Group book....

His Best Mistake (The Maclean Family Legacy Book 1)His Best Mistake by Lucy King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Now this is one book I CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND! In fact let me say...ONE Click this book and this author is now going on my one click list. I am looking forward to the second book in this series with baited breath and that I am telling you before I tell you anything at all about the story. I am story there.

We begin this book with a girl, a lady who is very upset with herself. I will let her share with you all the ins and outs and whys...but it all goes back to a guy. Then we get to meet Jack. OH handsome, sure of himself, but messed up as all get out JACK. Who comes to Scotland to mess up the life of this beautiful lady who is already messed up enough. Then we have Cora, who we see a wee bit in this book. She is a BIG part of this book but the reason the book is written. HER book is the second book which I talked about earlier titled "Her Forbidden Warrior (The Maclean Family Legacy Book 2)" And yes you can pre-order, which I did so no worries it is on your device waiting for you.

Cora and Jack are siblings and he is a good big brother so he seeks out Stella to set the record straight and in all true romance and really good book forms you can guess what happens next...or maybe you should just grab a copy of His Best Mistake and read it for yourself. If you are like me, you will fall in love with this family too.

Starting The New Year Our Right By Reading ~

I hit the ground running or rather I laid in the bed reading as the ball dropped to signal it was midnight in New York City. Of course that meant I still had an entire ~nother  hour to read my kindle while Marty played  dolls with Zoe and danced to the music they listened to on the tv. I guess one could say I zone out while reading but in all honestly being late life deaf does have it advantages when all I want to do is get lost in my book and believe me on New Years Eve I was not in Grapevine, TX .... My mind and soul was in Marietta, Montana. It was celebrating at the Graff and pretending I was drinking some of Sage's hot chocolate while taking a stroll down Main Street. Of course we did have the freezing cold temperatures here so at least it felt like I was inside the book I just completed right not to long after midnight. A Mistletoe Kiss by Jennifer Faye is my first read of 2018. Yes, I started it in 2017 but completed in the new year.  My review is below...

A Mistletoe KissA Mistletoe Kiss by Jennifer Faye
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Marietta, Montana is a wonderful place to spend New Years Eve. Even if it is only a fictional town and through a book. Getting lost in this book, when it is cold outside (which is fun since it matches the snowy cold weather in Marietta) made for a delightful time as I escaped once again to one of my favorite fictional places in the states. Ms Faye once again captured my attention with her attention to details and as the characters came to life on the pages of my kindle.

I have to say it it was so funny how it brought back memories of my small college town to me with many of the issues in the book. Suzanna bless her heart, was left at the altar by ~no neck then dumped by her boyfriend. "Doomed to be an old maid at 30." Sounds very familiar to me. Then we have the hunka hunka burning love who moves in next door Jake Hamilton. Retired from the Army and working with an old high school friend of her's... Now again small town, single women you can just imagine what happens to this poor good looking man as he walks thru the Piggly Wiggly. ( oh they do not call it that there). YEP Oh and yes they do have their own version of phone tree. You know what that is right. ALL towns and meddling places have it. One person tells you something and it goes to the next and so on and so forth... You know like the game we played when we were kids. "telephone".
This book is really good. It had me laughing at times and other times I was going yep, yes did this author look at my diary or something. Once again another fun read from Marietta and yes you can read this any time of the year!

Then I decided to shake things up a bit and head into outer space with C.J. Scarlett's Christmas Bride. I am not normally one to go the "space thing" unless it is Star Wars and now that Carrie Fisher has passed one I might not ever see another Star Wars movie either... But this book I really enjoyed it. Review will follow... That was New Year's Day (Hey No good Football Games on during the day then OU just messed it up for me.)

I am not normally a fan of scifi but but I went into this book with open eyes and arms one could say and I really was surprised at house much I liked this book. IN fact dare I say ...yes I will say I plan to back up and read more of the books. I have read one of the books in the past but I think I need to read more of these. It was a good read that kept me tied to my kindle from the first page to the end. The imagery was well written and I wanted to sit at my sewing machine and sew creatures to fit in this amazing world. Yes. I def will be reading more of CJ Scarlett's works if only for the inspiration.

Waxing Moon by Sarah L Steven was a really good paranormal shapeshifter romance yes action packed book. It is different than most and that is one of the reasons I decided to tell you all about it.

Waxing Moon (Calling the Moon, #2)Waxing Moon by Sarah E. Stevens
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Definitely Recommend Read.... unique take on paranormal activity....

This is the second book in this series. I hope there is another book to tell us more about Julie, and Carson's life after this. I really enjoyed reading a different slant on the paranormal community. Adding salamanders to the mix made for quite an interesting read. As I was reading this book , I kept wanting to take different characters off into certain relationships myself... wonder if the author will take them there herself. Hope so. Well written and detailed. With a unique slant on paranormal. Definitely recommend this one.

So as the first week of this new year winds down I have  read at least one book a day. Some more than a book. Working on that White House book right now...boy that is SLOW going on that one. But working my way thru it.  I will review that red/white/blue and oh so orange thing at a later date.

What is it about Duo Writers but they just Seems to be some of the Best Out There...

What a great way to Kick OFF 2018 than with two Kick Ass books written by two duo writing teams. I want to share with you my reviews of both of these and invite you to experience them for yourselves. Both books are only on Amazon at the moment because they are offered in Kindle Unlimited program.

The first book we are going a bit dark and  deep with Anna's Dress written by the team of London Casey and Jaxon Kidman.

One of the best books I have read.

This was one of those books that the moment I turned a few ages in my kindle ,I just knew I would been stuck there until I completed the entire book. It grabbed me from the get go and as me by the throat the entire ride. This is one of those reads that makes you scratch your head and wonder , how in the world do they write books like they do?

For one this this story could easily have been taken taken from my high school. Reminds me of a small southern town. Two how do two people write write so seamless as one? This book is well written and thought provoking. It has me stuck to me kindle like glue..
Two sisters as different as can be attracted to the same boy. Sounds like a soap opera right or at least a made for tv movie. Sadly this was one sister grabbed hold of this boy and held on tight and not in a good way nor for a good reason he grasp her back. You have to read this book to see if you followed the path that I did as you read it. Did you read the same conclusions before the truth was came out?

I can't wait to read what they give us next. This writing pair just continues to grow and grow...WOW.

Next we will lighten it up with Chore Play  by the writing team known as Piper Rayne. These gals sure know how to not only write a great book but a sexy one at that. I have been waiting for Jaggar's book for a while and made me so happy with this book. I do not know where they get their ideas from but please someone keep feeding them their delish chocolates and wine so we can continue to enjoy the delights from Climax Cove and Unicorn Co#ks for years to come.

So happy to finally see what makes him tick..tock...Really Good Read

Jaggar and Quinn's book was every bit what I imagined and more than I had hoped or. The writing team of Piper Rayne never ceases to amaze me with their ability to write a book so smoothly as if they were one person writing. We get a well told story, while at the same time we get to catch up with some of our favorite characters from other books. We make new friends and learn more about some characters mentioned in passing in other books. Having read all of the books written by this duo, I can't wait for the next series ( set in the Winter Games in Korea) to hit my kindle.

Whiskey Secrets...The Start of Something New Continues The Familiar Family of Ink

What a way to start a new year off right. Author Carrie Ann Ryan once again has us in where she wants us and that is now moving with her to a new city, with a new group of friends and family to enjoy life with the Collins family. Tabby's family FINALLY we are getting to know them and see the ins and outs of what makes her who she is from her "la familia" side. This is the story of Dare her older brother. Not sure if you remember but Dare (with a cute son)  was a cop and a darn (not Dare) good one until something happen. Now he owns and runs the bar and restaurant side of the family business. His folks run and operate the hotel side. Well, they did until they decided to bring in a innkeeper to upgrade the hotel and run it. OOPS, they did not run this by Dare nor the other kids. AND the hotel and bar/restaurant share a building. To make matters worse there is a spark between the two ...
Dare they act on it?

Whiskey Secrets (Whiskey and Lies #1)Whiskey Secrets by Carrie Ann Ryan

Great start to a new 5 star series

I am always excited to read a new book from this author. Rarely if ever does she disappoint me and she certainly did not in the case of Whiskey Secrets. To start out a new series is always a scary thing for both the author and reader alike, but Carrie Anne Ryan gives us just enough familiar characters from her Montgomery Ink series ( Tabby the sister to Dare is engaged to one) to make us feel right at home.
The storylines are both believable and current. Plus it helps the Dare and Kenzie's chemistry burns so hawt. This book is yet again another 5 star read for this one-click author.
